Flashback to the preschool years
February 2005
Today is the birthday of our second child - C. Actually, as I write, she is sitting on my
lap, smiling and giggling in my face, twirling my hair with her fingers. She is supposed to be sleeping, its 339 pm
and she has a big night for her birthday.
I came in here to write when I heard her coming out looking for me. Oh
well. Such is life at this time for me.
I love my children with all my heart. They make me smile and laugh. They also make me mad and frustrated.
Right now, she laid her head down on my chest, her hand a firm grasp of
my hair, and I hear her sucking her lower lip.
So she is tired. I guess she just
needed some cuddle time.
I love to
cuddle with my children. To soak up
their love and to lavish my love on to them.
I also love to hug my husband and give him a kiss in front of the
children. "C" will say “I want a hug
too.” She likes to be a part of mommy and daddy hugs.
Lord, I
want to obey you. I want to walk in your
way. I want to live effectively and
efficiently, but you should see my house.
In fact, I am going to go lay "C" down and take some pictures to keep
with this journal entry. I get bogged
down with the clutter, but don’t know how to get rid of it.
