A Perfect Time

You know, I've been pondering starting this blog for a long time.
I was waiting till the timing was perfect.
As I waited and thought and pondered, I realized there may never be a "perfect" time!
What is holding me back from starting this blog?
Perfection.
If I am going to do another blog, it has to be well thought out and planned.
I have to have lots of time to write amazing blog entries!
Phooey!!! That's not happening here!

After talking about it with my family, they got excited about helping me.
That was all I needed.
My girls are on board with helping me make videos of different foods we make, so I'll start there!

The purpose for this blog, really is to pass on to my kids.
In doing so, I want to have this blog as a resource for others who want simple recipes.
Yeah, I want healthy recipes.
I strive to feed my family healthy foods.
I enjoy making foods "from scratch".

Real life happens!  When you are right in the middle of raising kids, sometimes there isn't time to reinvent the wheel!  Sometimes there isn't time to make everything from scratch!
I am a firm believer in a Simple Life!
So, sometimes that means going to the grocery store and buying a watermelon for a snack.
I always keep a store bought frozen pizza in the freezer for supper on those busy nights!

My goal of this blog is to be real about life and share recipes I do make.
I don't cook fancy, but I love to bless my family with home cooked meals as often as I can!

Better a bowl of soup with a happy wife then a steak supper with a crabby one!!

So!  Enjoy this blog as a Recipe Book!  Bookmark it so you can remember your favourites!
I hope you enjoy it and tell me what recipes you would like to see here!

Popcorn!

Jolly Time Popcorn For those of you who know my husband, he has a sense of humor that I love! He's been making fun of me for taking soooo many pictures of FOOD lately. When I started taking this impromptu video of him making popcorn, he got right into it! Jolly Time Popcorn: Pour  about 1/ 2 cup oil in the kettle.  May need to adjust measurements to fit your kettle size. Turn to a high heat and add 1/2 cup kernels. Be sure to keep a close eye on it and shake it to keep the kernels from burning. Once all the kernels stop popping remove from heat and salt. When Jeff and I first got married I didn't eat popcorn. I really didn't like getting the kernels stuck between my teeth! Then he introduced me to Tiny Tender Popcorn and Ladyfinger. I couldn't believe the difference! Every time we go to Indiana, Ohio or Pennsylvania we buy as much as we can. We can go through a 50 lb bag in about 1 year! It's a relatively healthy snack, and it
