Kids Punch Glasses

I love to scrapbook!
I love to scrapbook, ALONE!  (Or with my friends!)

When I say alone, I mean without my kids around!
As a mother it isn't always easy to find time without kids around.
One day Elise and I  decided to try making cards while the cousins played nicely!

This is what happened!
They are like a magnet to our art supplies!

They want to be right there creating too. I don't blame them!

I don't know whose idea it was, but someone used a paper punch and made two holes.
We had ribbon, so one of the kids asked me to make them glasses.

I stapled ribbon to both sides and wrapped it around their heads to fit.

The kids did the rest of the decorating.

Pretty clever!  It gave them something fun to do.
Needless to say, I don't think I made too many cards that day, but I think it made their day!

Sometimes I feel stingy with my art supplies.
One tip I have learned along the way is to keep a stash of paper and embellishments, markers and glue that I don't mind if the kids use.

The more expensive supplies that I want to use for a scrapbook, I keep it for my time alone.

Kids can learn boundries, but I want them to learn to share as well!!
